I think of the second hand smoke billboard with the little toddler surrounded by smoke in the back seat of a car. Its so sad...and true! That one makes me mad!!!

Hooray for Thailand! It almost makes me overlook the oppressive heat and want to go there.

Man, more countries should do this. Everyone would benefit.

The big push now in Thailand is to curb drunk and reckless driving in a similar way - by posting graphic images of people killed in auto accidents on billboards and alongside highways and by stationing wrecked vehicles (with the blood still in the windshields) on corners near curves.

certainly tames the old "brain on drugs" commercials, don't you think?

Very thorough April! I had actually forgotten I had asked about school. :) Interesting how the culture inhibits comprehensive analyzing skills. Sometimes I think our culture is the opposite. We are encouraged to think analytically and come up with our own solutions, and sometimes we tend to refuse to listen to common or accepted knowledge, especially from those older or in higher positions than us.

By the way, I've loved reading you guys' stuff this past year. I think it would make a great book...

That dip sounds very yummy! The species of Morning Glory is probably Ipomoea aquatica, or water spinach, swamp cabbage, water morning-glory, etc. Its a Federal Noxious Weed in the states because of how aggressively it grows (very invasive) and can choke out waterways and kill all other aquatic life very quickly. But it looks delicious!! Is it the whole plant? (Vine and everything?) I have had fried day lily buds...which are delicious as well. :)
