New Friends

If you haven’t discovered it yet, let me just tell you that the internet is an amazing networking tool.
Jason’s brother, Brad, has a widely read blog. One of the guys reading it and his wife live in Northern Indiana, have lived in Thailand, and are heading back to Thailand. A few emails here and there, and TA-DA! We have new friends!
Brook and Sara are a great couple and I feel like we’ve known them much longer than we have. We’ve only gotten together two times, but both times were filled with laughing, stories of Thailand, getting to know each other, and sharing our hearts.
They have known their destination would be Thailand for much longer than we have. They met in college and spent their college internship in Thailand, where their hearts were stirred to return as missionaries. So, over the last three years they’ve been preparing to go back, with the plan to be there for 10 years. This August they will join us on the other side of the world and start language school. Although they learned quite a bit in the 7 months they were there before, there is much more to learn- like reading and writing!
Even though they won’t live in Bangkok, it will be nice to have them just an hour and a half away. Some familiar faces to share stories and struggles with who know first hand what it’s like to do this missions thing and live in Thailand. What a blessing!
Check out their blog, read all about them, see more pictures, and pray for them as they finish their preparations for Thailand.
