Sunday in New Castle

Sunday in New Castle

Posted on 27. Mar, 2009 by Jason in Thailand

We were privileged to be guests at New Castle Foursquare Gospel Church last Sunday. The day was a Missions Celebration- a culmination of their month-long missions emphasis.bill They welcomed us with open arms! Everyone was very friendly. We sat in on a Sunday School class where we were prayed for, then in service we were introduced to the congregation and given a gift along with all the other ministries they are involved with. We also connected with Bill and Jodie Ballinger, the International Youth Directors of Jim Baker Ministries. A few months ago they were special guests at Life Bridge. Bill spoke at this church as well. Their interest in our adventure was encouraging.

After church we were blessed to be invited over to a church member’s house for lunch and to relax before the evening activities.  The evening started with a ministry fair.booth Different kids from the church had chosen countries to make a display about and make appetizers from that country.  While people enjoyed the snacks, they wandered around to see what ministries the church is involved with.  It was nice to talk with people and share with them what we’re doing.  Everyone we spoke with was interested and encouraging.  After awhile everyone moved into the other room for dinner.  Each table was themed as a country or area, and had table hosts who did all the serving.  Again, it was a great time to connect with people from the church.

The whole day was such a blessing to us!
