What are the expectations in your family? Chances are, they’re different than those of a Thai family. I’ve had a few discussions with students, friends and fellow missionaries about different aspects of family life. As we’ve mentioned more than once, last month we went up to an Akha village for a few days to experience their culture. Part of that was, of course, their food. My favorite part was using chopsticks to eat it all.
